Position Description:

Are you passionate about programming? Learn from experienced full-stack web developers and contribute to a growing system used by individuals across the nation.

The Office of Educational Innovation and Evaluation (OEIE) is looking for professional, teachable, and team-oriented aspiring programmers to join our team. This position will be a part of our technology team and will work closely with our development team to build new features, write tests, and fix bugs.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, build, and test new system features in collaboration with our close-knit team
  • Learn best practices and the latest tools in web application development
  • Work on your own MacBook Pro Retina!
  • Have fun!

Our Tech Stack:

We're looking for students familiar with at least some of these tools and interested in learning the rest.

  • Languages: Python, Django, JavaScript / JQuery
  • Dev tools: Git, Vagrant, Ubuntu, OS X, JIRA
  • Database: MySQL

Flexible Work Schedule: 15-20 hours per week in 2 (or more) hour time blocks from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedule can be adjusted each semester. Summer work is optional and encouraged - can work 20-40 hours/week during the summer.
